Van der Valk Hotel Sassenheim - Leiden is, partly thanks to its ideal location in the colorful dutch flower bulb region full of beautiful cycling routes in South Holland, an ideal cycling hotel in the Netherlands. These routes are available free of charge at the reception, where we will of course also be happy to tell you more about all the sights in this vibrant region.

Our location has been popular among cyclists for years as a bicycle hotel and the perfect base for a long or short cycling holiday in the Netherlands. Not only are you within no time at the beach of Noordwijk or in the dunes, our bicycle hotel is also close to the Kagerplassen, where you can cycle beautifully or take a boat trip. In the spring, a bike ride to Keukenhof in Lisse or a cycle route to the Tulperij is highly recommended. After a sporty day cycling along many colorful flower fields full of fragrant flowers, you can relax in our bicycle hotel with wonderful facilities. This is how a cycling holiday in the Netherlands should be!

Hotel with bicycle rental

In our bicycle hotel we also have the possibility to rent bicycles or E-bikes, so if you cannot or do not want to bring your own bicycles, this is an ideal solution! Would you like to rent bicycles in our hotel during your stay? Then make a reservation for the bicycles or E-bikes in advance to avoid disappointment. Certainly in the spring and summer the availability of our bicycle rental changes quickly and then it is nice if you have already reserved bicycles.

Would you like to stay in our bicycle hotel for several days for a short cycling holiday? Then choose a cycling package! You stay 2 or 3 nights in one of our spacious Comfort or Deluxe rooms including an extensive breakfast buffet and 2x a delicious three-course dinner in restaurant Nest.

Bicycle shed with charging point

Would you like to bring your own bicycles to our bicycle hotel? Then you can place these for free in our covered and closed bicycle shed in the parking lot. This bicycle shed can only be opened with a valid room key, so you can store your bicycles with confidence.

There is also a charging point in the bicycle shed where you can charge your E-bike for free.
