The Olmenhorst
The Olmenhorst is located in the heart of the Haarlemmermeer. Here, you will find 31 hectares of organic apple and pear orchards, monumental buildings, and studios. At The Olmenhorst Estate, you can enjoy a leisurely stroll among the orchards or indulge in a cup of coffee, lunch, or a drink at the cozy Fruit Barn. In the shop, you can find the famous Olmenhorst juices and fresh produce (while stocks last).
Dogs are allowed on the estate, provided they are leashed. However, they are not allowed in the Fruit Barn.
Opening Hours:
- The Estate is open daily from sunrise to sunset.
- The Fruit Barn is open from Monday to Sunday, from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm.
Activities at The Olmenhorst:
You are welcome to stroll around the estate. Especially in spring when the fruit trees bloom, in summer with all the flowering borders and in autumn, during self-picking, it is more than worth it. In front of the Fruit Shed, there is a playground in the field where children can play.
The estate is home to several studios and shops (check opening hours) such as the Candle Workshop Willemijn, where candles are made using traditional methods. Check the calendar on the Olmenhorst website to see upcoming activities.
Apple picking at The Olmenhorst:
At The Olmenhorst Estate, the fruit is grown 100% organically, and the apples and pears are ripe in September/October. That's when the orchards are opened for picking. Would you like to pick apples at The Olmenhorst Estate? You are most welcome! The opening dates for Pick-Your-Own are announced around June.
