Museum the Black Tulip is the museum dedicated to the flower bulb culture, taking you through the rich and varied story of this industry: the centuries-old history, the seasonal work in the fields, scientific research, export, and tourism promotion. Guided tours

The museum offers guided tours for groups of up to 15 people. Tours are available in Dutch, French, English, and German. You must book a tour in advance. Reservations can be made by calling +31 252 417 900 or via email at info@museumdezwartetulp.nl.

Public transport

Museum the Black Tulip can be reached by bus from Sassenheim Train Station. This bus station is just a 10-minute walk from our hotel. Within 25 minutes, you can reach the museum by bus to the Centrum, Lisse stop. For current departure times, we recommend planning your trip via the NS website.

Parking

You can reach Museum the Black Tulip in just 15 minutes. There is easy parking available around the museum. Please remember to use your parking disc! The museum's address is: Heereweg 219, 2161 BG Lisse.

Bike rental

Museum the Black Tulip is located in Lisse, the heart of the Flower Bulb Region. What could be more enjoyable than cycling and taking in the beautiful surroundings on your way to the museum! Both e-bikes and regular bicycles can be reserved at our hotel’s reception.
